Confidence when approaching a mortgage lender
6 May 2008
You have a plan to save yourself the most on your mortgage, but then you visit a mortgage lender and fold in favour of every suggestion they make. It is important to take professional advice when taking out a mortgage, however a mortgage lender has a vested interest in manipulating your financial plan of action.
By consulting several independent financial advisors, you may be able to gain more confidence in your decisions in the face of a mortgage lender selling you extra features on your loan. It is important to get a range of advice, though, as it can often be difficult to tell whether a financial advisor has relationships with any particular financial institutions.
